It’s been a minute!
Time to catch you up on what I’ve been doing, my works in progress and what’s on the horizon.
Ben and I just got back from 5 weeks in Europe and the UK, and we’re now settling back into mid-winter semi-rural life.
Our trip took us to Prague – first time for Ben and the first time in 30 years for me – and I loved it just as much as last time, even though we landed in the middle of a heatwave. (It’s a land-locked city made largely of stone and it was HOT!)
We headed out very early on our first morning to see the Charles Bridge before the crowds (and the heat of the day). It was us, a handful of fellow travellers and two bridal couples having their wedding photos taken. And the neighbourhood across the river might be the prettiest in Prague.

I met with one of my European agents and my Czech publishers at Grada (we filmed some promo videos), then signed copies of my books at the famous Palace of Books.

Hradčany Castle was a highlight, even though it was 40°C the day of our walking tour.

And we indulged in the local beer and cuisine – everything from Michelin-star dining at Field (where we celebrated our 20th anniversary) to wursts at the park, and even the best Mexican food since we were in Mexico

This was also a research trip – I will be setting my 10th book for Boldwood in this gorgeous city and I am already in the planning stages – so we saw as much of the city as we could in a week.
Next up… Part 2: Greece!
